During their honeymoon, Francisco Coto placed his camera on the breakwater and used the self-timer to make this self-portrait with Virginia Elizondo. The couple’s spontaneous gestures contrast with the carefully structured composition, in which the landscape and expansive sky are given as much prominence as the figures.
