← ExploreHistorical note Opened in 1961 within Morazán Park, the Japanese Garden featured a small pavilion, a curved bridge, and ponds inhabited by swans, ducks, and turtles, surrounded by rocks and ornamental vegetation. The garden disappeared during changes made to Morazán Park decades later. Coto’s first photography studio was located half a block from the park, an area of San José closely connected to his early years as a photographer.
